Victoria Harbor Cruise
One of the best places to soak in the Hong Kong skyline is from a boat in the middle of the Victoria Harbor. Don't miss the "Symphony of Lights" show every evening at 8pm - dancing lasers and floodlights illuminate the skyscrapers on Tsim Sha Tsui and Hong Kong Island during an impressive 20-minute musical light show. It's recognized as the "World's largest permanent light and sound show" by Guiness World Records.
Hong Kong Disney Land
Come visit the Hong Kong edition of the "happiest place on Earth" - it's very similar to the original Disneyland in the USA (albeit on a smaller scale) and has the same four themed lands: Main Street USA, Fantasyland, Adventure land and tomorrow land. There are daily parades and fireworks in the evenings. You can also stay at the two Disney-themed hotels on site. Perfect for a romantic date or if you're travelling with children.
The Peak
Enjoy sweeping views of the Hong Kong city skyline and harbor from the highest point on Hong Kong Island. From the city center, you can ride the Peak Tram to the top of the Peak where there are 2 large shopping centers (the Peak Tower and the Peak Galleria), restaurants, viewpoints and a few walking trails.
Ocean park
Some people consider this marine-oriented theme park better than Disneyland: Ocean Park has more exciting rides (Disneyland rides are usually more subdued as they're designed for kids), marine exhibits (e.g. shark and jellyfish aquariuma, dolphin shows), four giant pandas and a picturesque cable car ride.
Central Business District
The center of Hong Kong city. Major government buildings (many designated historial monuments) are located here, such as the Legislative Council Building, Government House and the Court of Final Appeal. St. John's Cathedral (built in 1849) is the oldest Anglican church in the Far East. Other prominent landmarks in Central are the Bank of China Tower, the HSBC building and the International Finance Centre. Numerous glitzy shopping malls dot the area.
